Supply Chain Management Clinical Resource Specialist
Position Summary:
Serves as a clinical resource to members of the supply chain team. Offers clinical perspective and collaborates across all departments and areas of the organization to support SCM initiatives.
- Serves as a liaison and product subject matter expert in providing Supply Chain support to all MHC departments. Serves as a clinical resource to Supply Chain in validating proposed cross reference items and in identifying substitute products for unavailable items.
- Participates in developing best demonstrated practice strategies related to product utilization; recognizes existing facility Best Practices; educates departments and/or subsidiaries in implementation of those practices.
- Supports clinical engagement as needed for capital purchasing scenarios, for new technology or new contract awards.
- Supports identified sourcing coordinator in opportunities pertaining to clinical products, medical devices, and PPI. This includes strategy development, vendor communication, and implementation support.
- Participates in Group Purchasing Organization clinical councils, corporate and subsidiary committees, and in vendor interactions as needed, to represent MHC’s current practices and preferences related to products and services.
- Participates with clinical education collaboration and vendor scheduling for clinical product conversion requiring in-service.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate degree in nursing (with active license) or an Associates in an Allied Health profession
- 5 years health care hospital-based experience
- 1-year procedural experience Operating Room or Cath lab based
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree Nursing
- 7 years hospital experience
- 3 years procedural experience (OR or Cath lab based preferred)
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
