Supervisor Office
Position Summary: Supervises and supports the department’s clerical staff. Coordinates and maintains a consistent workflow of the department. Provides input into the development of department policies and procedures. Trains new staff. Maintains and performs work on account assignments.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Oversees the day to day operations of the clerical staff.
2. Plans daily work schedule and assignments.
3. Serves as a resource to staff in resolving complex problems.
4. Troubleshoot problems that arise with office equipment.
5. Maintain and order office supplies
6. Responsible for timekeeping functions of the department.
7. Create, maintain, and update files, databases, records, and other documents.
Position/Subsidiary Specific:
Karmanos:
- Maintain relationships with physicians to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with analysts and other roles to maintain revenue integrity of accounts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Associates Degree in Business or related field OR five years of experience in related field
- Two or more years of insurance authorization and verification experience
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
- Two years of supervisory experience
