Supervisor Communications
Position Summary:
Work as regular Operator and oversees the duties of the Operators. Organize the necessary training of new and existing employees and assures feedback to obtain maximum performance. Develop department schedule. Maintain attendance and tardiness for the department which includes maintaining Kronos. Ability to maintain performance evaluations for the department. Assists and coordinates meetings and training. Acts as patient information and assists customers with directions and other customer related issues. Ability to write policy and procedures. Maintain physician answering service. Monitor and respond to emergency alarms.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Acts independently, consistently exercises discretion and judgment in performing work which is predominantly intellectual and varied in nature.
- Demonstrates understanding and competence in all areas of Evidenced Based Leadership including: leader rounding, thank you notes, stoplight reports, 30/90 day conversations, leadership development institutes, linkage grids, skills validation, AIDET, hourly rounding, and High-Middle-Low conversations.
3. Performs routine typing and clerical duties.
- Responsible for assuring excellent customer service and AIDET is followed both internally and externally.
- Responsible for assigning work to employees and directing the workflow in area of jurisdiction.
- Responsible for completion of work assignments and prepares and posts schedules.
7. Training new operators.
8. Attempts to resolve employee complaints/concerns.
9. May discipline subordinates according to Medical Center procedure.
Qualifications:
Required:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Three (3) years of experience as a Switchboard Operator
