Laboratory Technical Assistant/ Phlebtomist
Scheduled: 10:30pm to 7:00am Variable start time
Hours: 40 hours
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of a phlebotomy training course or previous experience
Preferred:
- Certified as a phlebotomy technician.
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory environment.
Position Specific Expectations:
- Problem solving capabilities.
- Must follow AIDET for all patient encounters
- Valid Michigan driver’s license and a driver’s record approved by the Medical Center’s insurance agent for those employees who drive a vehicle as a requirement for the job (If applicable).
- Previous experience drawing blood or phlebotomy training course in approved program
- CPR issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross Certification
