CT Technologist
Under the direction of the Radiology Manager, performs diagnostic CT and x-ray procedures not requiring direct supervision.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform CT examinations with and without contrast media.
- Operate various models of CT scanners.
- Assists physicians and nurses for biopsy procedures, when necessary.
- Make calibration checks, calibrate, adjust and maintain CT equipment.
- Prepare patients for examination and explains procedures to patients.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Satisfactory completion of a Radiology Program
- Registered with the ARRT
- Certified as a Computed Tomography Technologist
- If not CT certified, cross training from another ARRT modality to become CT certified within 12 months
- BLS card from AHA required before start date (valid at least 60 days beyond start date)
- Six months of prior work experience as a CT Technologist
