Job Summary:
Responsible to oversee the management of daily operations, programs and services of the multi-region home health programs.  Provides the executive leadership necessary to assure the direction of activities is consistent with the corporate purpose, philosophy and mission, and subject to review by the Board of Directors.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1.    Within structure of MHG, formulates strategic plans to achieve the goals and objectives of MHG.
2.    Plans, directs, controls and evaluates all MHG Home Care division related activities to ensure organizational efficiency and effectiveness in the achievement of goals and objectives.
3.    Maximizes operating and financial performance through effective expense management, enhanced productivity, and increased market share, specifically as it relates to the Home Care division.
4.    Keeps all staff informed of regulatory changes and requirements.  
5.    Develops and maintains effective human resource programs, policies and records. Collaborates with MHG HR.  Appraises all staff on an annual basis.
6.    Ensures compliance with all agency regulations and establishes indicators and reporting mechanisms for quality of program services.  
7.    Develops medical policies and standing orders that are deemed acceptable practice, with emphasis on continually improving quality via PI committee.
8.    Identifies business opportunities with emphasis on Home Care division growth.
9.    Supervises, directs and monitors designated staff.  Ensure staff evaluations are completed timely.
10.    Promotes the image and utilization of the corporation’s services and programs through effective representation to the civic and business community.
11.    Develops and implements programs to enhance the Home Care areas.
12.    Participates in MNA, OPEIU and AFSCME labor meetings, negotiations and necessary activities.
13.    Performs any other duties that may be necessary and in the best interest of MHG and MHCC.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing, PT, OT, SLP, or related field of business.

  • Minimum of one year home health care experience, and 3-5 years health care experience

  • Minimum 3-5 progressively more responsible management experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master Degree in public health, business, or nursing.

  • One or more years Director/V.P. level experience.
