Surgical Technologist Intern
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Currently enrolled in an accredited CST program. Graduation from program pending within six (6) months
- BLS certification as Healthcare Provider or equivalent through the Military Training Network (MTN).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Maintains and grows current knowledge of surgical services, standards of care, methods, devices, and procedures.
- Maintains current knowledge of hospital and departmental operations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains the standards of care and observes safety precautions at all times.
- Consistently practices and demonstrates knowledge of aseptic technique under supervision.
- Adheres to terminal cleaning procedures.
- Enhances individual and unit professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, workshops, and by reading current literature concerning scope of practice.
