Surgical Services Student Intern Petoskey Campus
McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital is looking for High School Juniors and Seniors for summer internship opportunities at the Petoskey and Cheboygan hospitals. We have internship opportunities in Lab, Facilities/Maintenance, Imaging, Call Center/Mail Room, Nursing Support and more. Each area has a specific posting so please apply to all areas of interest. Work permits for minors will need to be completed as part of the hiring process and all state regulations regarding employing minors will be followed.
The Intern position is a temporary learning experience designed to foster the development of individuals interested in a career in healthcare. The purpose of this position is to gain practical experience through direct exposure and active participation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic company information Perform clerical duties, maintain files and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed Sort and manage files Oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers Take notes during meetings Type documents, draft, and reports Manage databases and input information, data, and records Attend company functions and meetings Other duties as assigned |
- High school diploma or equivalent or be actively pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
