Research Budget Specialist
Position Summary: Prepare, negotiate, and maintain budgets and contracts related to research and clinical trial activity
Responsibilities:
- Review research and clinical trial protocols and develop internal budgets
- Negotiate the budget with sponsors and provide cost justifications as needed
- Review the informed consent form for compliance with the budget and contract
- Review the clinical trial contract for routine changes
- Consistently maintain general knowledge of protocols and manage amendments of budgets and contracts.
- Review legal language with the attorney and facilitate execution of Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements
- Facilitate the legal review, execution, and billing processes of Cell Line License Agreements and Material Transfer Agreements
- Manage Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) for investigators and staff
- Maintain communication with Research Finance, Sponsored Programs Office, and Patient Billing Systems to ensure accurate costing data
- Construct and review the coverage analysis, treatment tabs, calendars, and the financial parameters in Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS)
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of relevant medical, science, or business experience.
