Registered Nurse - Wound Care
Department: Wound Care
Shift: Days
Daily Work Times: 7:00 am - 1:00 pm
Scheduled Hours per Pay: 48
Position Summary:
Responsible for assessing physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient within assigned unit area and planning nursing care to meet those needs. Responsible to see that nursing care plans are carried out through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel. Conducts patient evaluation, performs documentation of patient progress, treatment planning and discharge functions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Employee will demonstrate the process of obtaining history, performing relevant systems reviews, and selecting and administering specific tests and measures to obtain data for appropriate service delivery.
2. Employee will demonstrate the dynamic process in which the Registered Nurse makes clinical judgments based on data gathered during the exam, in conjunction with physician team.
3. Employee will perform effective treatment addressing the specific impairments identified in the evaluation.
Required:
· Certification and registration to practice nursing in State of Michigan.
BLS
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy RN:
· Two years clinical experience in an in-hospital or hospital-based clinic setting, or one-year critical care experience
· Completion of the Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine course within 45 days of hire or transfer
· Certified with the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology. If not current, must be obtained within twelve (12) months after obtaining 480 hours of diving training. Exam must be taken at the first available opportunity after obtaining required hours.
Preferred:
- 6 months to 1 year of job related experience.
