Radiation Therapist I
Under general direction and supervision and in accordance with prescription, operates x-ray therapy equipment in order to simulate and/or treat patients for malignancies and pain.
Responsibilities:
· Documents treatment procedures in patient’s charts and verifies accuracy.
· Performs quality assurance checks daily on equipment.
· Performs calculations when required.
· Performs basic dosimetry calculation.
· Bachelor’s degree in Radiation
Therapy Technology or graduate of a CAHEA accredited school to Radiation
Therapy or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Current registration or registry
eligible with the ARRT. Must
successfully complete registry examination in Radiation Therapy within one year
of date of hire.
· Operates all linear accelerators and simulators with minimal
supervision.
