Program Coordinator Community Based Programs

Job Summary: Develops and manages the Karmanos Cancer Institute value-added programs for the benefit of network cancer programs and affiliate community partners, including internal and external messaging to current and prospective patients as well as associated and referring clinical providers. Facilitates system-wide staff training to support CBP initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Coordinates internal and external community awareness, outreach programs, and corporate sponsorship activities for Karmanos Cancer Institute network, including corporate marketing campaigns for these programs.

Provides resources and support to network cancer screenings, health fairs, and community events.

Facilitates new program implementation such as e-tumor boards and staff training for network cancer programs.

Coordinates and promotes annual Oncology Continuing Medical Education programming.

Supports project teams and work groups for the Elekta projects as requested by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent with five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in event and program planning, administration, and promotion.
- Experience in health care administration, with preference for oncology-specific experience.
- Knowledgeable about regulatory standards of care for oncology services, including JCAHO and ACOS.
- Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively deal with all levels of the organization, as well as with external contacts, promoting Karmanos as the leader in cancer care.
