Position Summary:

Set up, adjusts, monitors, operates and monitors electronic digital duplication system which is a stand-alone configuration.  Perform basic bindery and shipping duties and responsibilities.

 Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1.            Operates basic bindery equipment, cutter, spiral punch and other bindery equipment including wire bind/square hole punch and tapebind/printer.  Operate 10 bin collator, booklet maker.

2.            Operates Electronic Publishing system and related equipment including black and white system.  Submit jobs utilizing Print Station Manager.  Scan documents for printing. 

3.            Pads, punches, collates, staples, binds, packages and labels printing packages as required.

4.            Input shipping information, close out jobs and print shipping labels from McLaren Storefront.

5.            Prepares disbursement record and delivery forms to storeroom or appropriate department

6.            Prepare jobs to be shipped via Fed Ex or UPS. 

7.         Update files to include only most current forms and documents.  .Keeps bindery area neat and orderly.

8.         Participates in Medical Center and/or departmental quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities as directed; through identification of quality improvement opportunities, goal setting, collection and evaluation of data, implementation of action plans, or related applications.

9.         Inventory Control

10.     Maintain service log and communicate with service technicians for black and white system.



Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma
  • 1-2 years of print-shop experience
