Private Branch Exchange Operator
PBX Operator is responsible for relaying incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls using a Lucent Technologies Definity PBX console. Responsible for the relay and recording of written and verbal messages.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Answer all calls to console and connect to the requested extension. Make all announcements over public address system, including codes. Dial numbers for physicians, employees, patients following established polices.

Ensure that all telephone equipment; including pagers are kept in working order.

Maintain records relating to fire and disaster drills. Maintain various logs, including but not limited to ‘Stat’ pages and media calls.

Lock and unlock patient phones per established policy.

Other duties as assigned including making follow up calls to patients.
- High School Diploma.
- Six weeks on job training.
- A high degree of confidentiality is required.
