Pharmacist Intern
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a professional program at an accredited College of Pharmacy. Registered or eligible for registration as a Pharmacy Intern.
- Analytical ability necessary to assure swift resolution of fairly complex math programs.
- A thorough knowledge of generic / trade names, aseptic technique, safe handling of antimicrobials, biological, and hazardous materials.
- Verbal and written communication skills (good diction and pronunciation of the English language and drug names) to interact effectively with all levels of health care professionals.
- Demonstrates the ability to follow oral and written instructions with accuracy, speed, and dependability.
- Must be able to take direction from pharmacists and refer clinical issues appropriately.
- Diplomacy, tact and listening skills a must as well as ability to read, interpret and write technical materials.
- Demonstrates computer keyboard familiarity and order entry skills, as well as light typing ability and capability to operate electronic dispensing equipment.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity and grip strength to safely perform complicated manipulation of sterile products.
