Medical Assistant
Performs venipuncture, obtains urine samples, performs EKG's, and performs clerical duties.
· Performs venipuncture and capillary draws with minimal pain
· Performs EKG's
· Performs clerical duties, i.e. charges, ordering, filing
· Obtains urine samples from patients
· Assists patient flow, directions, reassembles room
· Helps with vital signs as assigned and direct patient care
· Performs spirocare and TENS unit instruction
Required:
- Graduate of accredited school of Medical Assistant, or 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous clerical experience
- BLS certification within 3 months of hire
Preferred:
- Phlebotomy experience/certification
- Experience performing EKG's
