Position Summary:
Responsible to the Board of Directors and President & CEO McLaren Integrated HMO Group in assuming ultimate responsibility and authority for the overall leadership, administration, growth, and performance of McLaren Health Plan (licensed Health Maintenance Organization) called the Plan. With the Chairman of the Board, enable the Board to fulfill its governance function. Assists in development of and assumes responsibility to implement the organization’s philosophy, mission, strategy and annual goals and objectives.
With full responsibility for the plan management and compliance with all regulatory provisions of the contract, the market president manages the P&L, develops and ensures implementation of the overall strategies, maintains deep rooted relationships with key stakeholders to drive business growth and serves as the contact for all State Agencies.
Represents and acts on behalf of the Board of Directors in proposing actions, approving, advising, acting upon and coordinating efforts regarding all matters of the Plan. Establishes performance and productivity measures, quality improvement goals and cost controls to maximize resources available. Provides and communicates pertinent financial information throughout the Plan and to the respective governing bodies.
Responsibilities are conducted within the scope of broad organizational objectives; requires broad conceptual analysis to define and analyze complex issues and affect optimal solutions. Individual performance is critical to the Plan's success. Recommendations significantly impact the Plan's mission and ability to attain goals.
The Market President is an officer of the company according to the State of Michigan HMO statutes and a voting member of the Plan Boards of Directors with inherent regulatory responsibility.
This is an onsite position with requirements for meeting travel.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration or health-related field.
- Eight (8) years’ experience in government sponsored health insurance program as a senior HMO leadership role with demonstrated experience involving governance, business acumen and superior leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in management, business administration or health-related field.
- Previous experience in managing P&L’s.
