Position Summary: Responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining volunteer coordinators and volunteers to assist in the delivery of hospice services following organizational, professional, regulatory and accrediting body standards of care, including oversight of all hospice branch volunteer programs. Responsible for program growth which includes the “We Honor Veterans Program” and “Spiritual Volunteer Program.”   
 

Responsibilities:

  1. Plans, develops standardized processes, coordinates, and implements volunteer programs for all branch locations.
  2. Recruits, selects, orients, and assist with training volunteer coordinators in all branch locations as needed.
  3. Provides oversight, evaluation, and acts as a resource for the Volunteer Coordinators within each region.
  4. Participates in interdisciplinary hospice team at corporate location.
  5. Participates in community and education activities related to volunteer services.
  6. Maintains records, reports, and other documentation related to the work.
  7. Generates and distributes cost savings reports and percent of volunteer hours as required to all hospice branch locations.
  8. Coordinates and conducts communication and meeting with all Volunteer Coordinators as required.
  9. Oversight and tracking of volunteer files for all branch locations
  10. Oversight of community events.
  11. Develop fundraising events for all branch location.
  12. Conducts research on potential donors and meets with them.
  13. Screening and training fundraising volunteers.
  14. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:  
Required:
  • Bachelor degree with a major in sociology, psychology, community organization, or a related field
  • Minimum experience of three (3) years working in a Hospice program.
 Preferred: 
  • Hospice volunteer program management experience.
