Manager Multi Specialty Clinical
Under the direction of the Director, the Manager is responsible for coordinating the operations and supervision of a medical practice or clinic.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, coordinates and leads the operations of the practice and the provision of services for McLaren Greater Lansing.
- Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget.
- Oversees the preparation and maintenance of confidential, comprehensive, centralized record billing systems documentation.
- Provides information and prepares reports as needed for practice analysis, planning, and forecasting.
- Acts as resource liaison between staff, physicians, Director, and McLaren Greater Lansing/McLaren Medical Management Group.
- Conducts routine physician and staff meetings to gather and disseminate information useful in the operations of the medical practice.
- Implements a continuous quality improvement model for the physician practices, plans and organizes accreditation process:
- Remains current on external regulatory and third-party payor requirements.
- Provides for an annual review of facilities and medical equipment in collaboration with the Health and Safety Officer, Engineering Services, and Clinical Engineering Departments.
- Coordinates implementing the scope of practice, including product line and standards of care for assigned physician practice/clinic.
- Investigates and resolves patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Develops, coordinates, implements and justifies the department’s budget. Displays knowledge and action plan to ensure cost effectiveness
- Performs other related duties as assignment by the Director.
Required:
· Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or health related field. (Degree requirement waived for those in position prior to effective date.)
· Two years of work experience in a medical practice.
Preferred:
· Two years of practice management experience.
· Bachelor Degree.
