Manager Human Resources
Position Summary:
The HR Manager originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide a performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and development of a superior workforce. The HR Manager is actively involved in the development of project achievement of the organization’s business goals. The HR Manager coordinates the implementation of HR services, polices, and programs and assists and advises subsidiary leadership about Human Resource issues. Participation in planning and administering employee commitment activities; along with facilitating programs designed to advance employee commitment are critical to the success of the HR Manager. Active participates on system initiatives and teams are required. The HR manager maintains a proactive employee engagement culture that resolves employee concerns and grievances without third party intervention.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manages a team of Human Resource professionals that are committed to providing cost effective, high quality delivery of Human Resources services.
- Responsible for assuring subsidiary leadership is educated on human resources policies and procedures, contractual and legal requirements.
- Assists in the negotiation and administration of union contracts.
- In conjunction with the Vice President or Director Human Resources, is responsible for the day to day operations of department.
- Originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide a performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards of a superior workforce.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with three years progressively more responsible experience in employment, labor relations, HRIS, benefits and/or compensation.
- Must be proficient in wage and salary administration, benefits programs and labor contract administration.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in related field.
- Supervisory experience, preferably in the health care industry.
- SPHR or PHR certification
