Hyperbaric Technician
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, and Medical Director, the Hyperbaric Technician will be responsible for administration of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the physician. The technician is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems, and for maintaining safety standards recognized by the industry. The hyperbaric technician will assist in the delivery of any additional patient care appropriate to the level of his/her training including wound care.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supports the Mission and Vision of McLaren through behaviors that reflect and integrate our values, as evidenced by observation, peer, and customer feedback.
2. Contributes to the implementation of the patient plan of care.
3. Contributes to the evaluation of the patient plan of care.
4. Contributes to the efficient operation of the Wound Center.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified or licensed in a health care profession such as Medical Assistant, Nurse Aide, LPN, Respiratory Care, EMT, paramedic, etc.
- Two (2) years in a health care setting.
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association within three (3) months of hire.
