Human Resources Generalist
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing support to leadership and staff employees in functional areas of human resources including departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, employee commitment, recruitment, compensation and benefits administration, and organizational development, following departmental policies and procedures, and federal and state regulations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- The HR Generalist originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
- Responsible for coordination of the new employee orientation program and preparation of orientation materials.
- Educates new employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Arranges and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations, and logs data accurately.
- Responsible for student intern and co-op programs including:
- Processing of affiliation agreements and other requirements; obtaining necessary signatures.
- Arranges assignments to specific hospital departments when applicable.
- Determines type of orientation and schedules accordingly.
- Participates in departmental special projects and functions.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associates + two years experience or Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred:
SPHR or PHR certification
