Emergency Department Technician
Department: Emergency Room
Shift: Nights
Daily Work Times: 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours: 72
Pay: $17.78 - $21.51 / hr (based on full-time years' experience)
Position Summary
Responsible for providing basic nursing care and specific nursing functions within the Emergency Department under the direction of the registered nurse. ERTs will complete basic arrhythmia class for ERTs with a minimum score of 80% on the written test within two attempts. In addition, they must satisfactorily complete the competency testing for IV and urinary catheter placement.
- Possess high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess BCLS certification.
- Possess licensure as Emergency Medical
Technician/Paramedic.
- Possess minimum of six months Emergency Department or Emergency Medical Technician experience.
