Position Summary:

 

The primary role will be to provide project management and process improvement expertise to highly visible and multi-faceted projects.  Responsible for analytical support, and performance improvement methodologies to assigned service lines and other special project initiatives as deemed appropriate.  Assists the COO with organizational deadlines and obligations. 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Assists in the creation and development of comprehensive improvement plans to address identified improvement opportunities as it relates to the operations of the health system, and the delivery of patient care in and across multiple service lines;
  2. Ensures that organization-wide performance improvement initiatives are focused and aligned with improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness; 
  3. Acts independently and consistently exercises discretion and judgment in performing work which is predominantly intellectual and varied in nature.
  4. Ensures the maintenance of detailed records of project meetings, status and outcomes.
  5. Participates in periodic audit by external review agencies.
  6. Analyzes and interprets data, operational and procedural problems related to assigned service line projects.
  7. Monitors external trends and how they impact the hospital, as well as provides external context to deliver excellence solutions.
  8. Promotes patient safety by informing COO of quality issues discovered upon data review.
  9. Participates on various hospital and community-based committees as appropriate.
  10. Assists in the development and implementation of project policies and
    procedures.
  11. Maintains high standards for accuracy and ensuring data integrity.
  12. Assists in trending of variances as appropriate.
  13. Maintains professional growth and development to keep abreast of latest in field of expertise.
  14. Participates in performance improvement activities.
  15. Performs other duties as required and directed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare related field.

  • Two (2) years of experience in an acute care setting.

     

     

    Preferred:

  • Lean/Six Sigma training
