Director Corporate Environment of Care and Emergency Management
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing overall technical and administrative direction for areas of responsibility including environmental care and emergency management for McLaren Healthcare. Assures compliance with regulatory and other agency requirements, laws, and statues pertaining to the operation of these departments. Gives input into departmental budgets. Responsible for the quality improvement for these programs. Meets and consults with system leader for policies, procedures, equipment, and supplies to promote standardization across the system.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned:
1. Plans and administers directly, and through subsidiary personnel, the effective management and delivery of environment and emergency management, in accordance with all hospital, system and regulatory agency standards.
2. Directs and coordinates activities to ensure that services are provided on schedule with quality and cost objectives.
3. Ensures that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and governmental regulations and laws.
4. Develops and trains personnel within the system and reviews and evaluates their performance.
5. Establishes organization plan and delegates responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities to appropriate subsidiaries.
6. Directs, coordinates and oversees major projects to the best economic advantage of the corporation.
7. Ensures quality, financial, and customer service objectives are met.
8. Develops, secures approval of and administers capital and operating budgets in order to meet agreed-upon system goals and objectives. Develops and implements appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances.
9. Improve function and reliability of systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identify, recommend, and implement changes, expansions, and additions.
10. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with legal codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Baccalaureate degree in related field.
· Three years of management experience.
Preferred:
· Masters prepared
· Appropriate certifications
