Coordinator Clinical Specialist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift: Days
Daily Work Times: 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Scheduled Hours per Pay: 80
Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the nursing plan of care for patients within the assigned specialty. Responsible to see that the nursing plan of care meets the physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patients served. Directs patient care through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel. Assists in the coordination of patient care through the appropriate utilization of all resources: staff, equipment, supplies, etc. As an expert in the assigned specialty, is a resource person to both medical center staff and physicians.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

- Demonstrates leadership role through clinical practice, supervision, teaching, and research
- Facilitates and encourages and environment of self-directed work teams. Collaborates and cooperates with care team members to ensure continuity of patient care, quality of care, and the maintenance of productive employee relations between staff members
Required:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan or a certified cardiovascular technologist
- Possess minimum of 2 years related unit experience (Cardiovascular, Cath Lab)
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated leadership performance
- Demonstrated experience in team building skills, self-directed work teams
Preferred:
- Certified in Unit Specialty Organization.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Health Care Field or equivalent degree/certification.
