Compensation Analyst
Position Summary:
Administers and performs analysis for compensation systems and programs within the MHC system. Performs compensation audits, writes job descriptions, evaluates jobs, researches and analyzes market data and participates in compensation surveys sponsored by third party organizations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Represents all McLaren subsidiaries by participating in third party sponsored wage and salary surveys.
- Analyzes market survey data to ensure the consistency and competitiveness is in alignment with McLaren Health Care’s compensation philosophy.
- Reviews job descriptions and recommends proper salary grade placement for new/revised jobs based on internal and external market data.
- Works with HRIS and subsidiary Human Resources departments to update and maintain the performance management system, problem-solves issues and recommends enhancements.
- Reviews, audits, and analyzes compensation and FLSA data in the HRIS system. Identifies and works with subsidiary HR departments to resolve issues.
- Monitors changes to federal and state regulations, and FLSA requirements.
- Prepares periodic reports for management regarding wage and salary activities such as requests for re-evaluation and internal equity verification.
- Assists director of corporate compensation with the administration of the leadership incentive program.
- Assists in the design, development of training materials for compensation and performance management related processes.
- Serves as chairperson for the Compensation Representative Committee. Organizes and directs activities of the committee.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, economics, or related field.
- Two years’ compensation systems experience preferably in the health care arena.
Preferred Qualifications:
· CCP designation.
