Clinical Applications Support Specialist
Position Summary:
Clinical Applications Support Specialist is responsible for oversight, implementation, improvement, maintenance and staff training of the computer system and software application supporting employee health operations and services. This role will also support continuous improvement and cultural transformation initiatives throughout the organization, support the implementation and management of department projects; coordinate special projects; compile and extract data for regulatory reporting and create dashboards to track and communicate quality metrics across the entire system.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned:
Assists in the design, development, and ongoing modification of the computerized employee health (EH) documentation system.
Analyzes clinical workflows and recommends system or process improvements to enhance efficiency and expedite employee compliance.
Educates EH staff and assists in problem solving to promote the integration of the EH electronic documentation system into daily workflows.
Provides support and training to end-users on EH documentation system, including documentation, instructions, tip sheets and job aids.
Monitors and manages the security and confidentiality of EH documentation system.
Facilitates and monitors access control of EH documentation system including but not limited to account creation, permissions, password resets and account unlocks.
Provides technical support, diagnosis of application errors, and troubleshooting of EH documentation system.
Leads the testing and implementation of workflows in the EH documentation system.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma
Certified Medical Assistant
2 years of employee health or ambulatory care experience which includes knowledge of medical terminology, general understanding of the EH health record and workflows
Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) or obtain within 1 year of start date
OR
Associate's degree in healthcare, clinical, or related field
1 year of employee health or ambulatory care experience which includes knowledge of medical terminology, general understanding of the EH health record and workflows
Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) or obtain within 1 year of start date
Preferred:
- One year of experience in data analytics
