Clerk Supply Chain
Position Summary: Under close supervision, replenishes, receives, and delivers supplies.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned:
- Unpacks and checks goods received for accuracy, maintains record of receipt, rejecting unsatisfactory items when necessary.
- Pulls and fills departmental supply requests.
- Scans/orders assigned areas for replenishment and puts away.
- Distributes all items ordered direct and from stock to the hospital departments. Stages product for offsite facilities.
- Rotates stock and notifies Inventory Coordinator of low stock and stock outages.
- Completes Material Picking Feedback in the Materials Management Information System (MMIS).
- Participates in mid-year and year-end physical inventories.
- Maintains shelving and storage areas as assigned.
- Coordinates outbound freight deliveries and printing shipping labels.
- Keeps department area in neat, clean, safe and presentable condition.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Three months experience related to inventory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain professional relationships, cooperating and communicating effectively with all McLaren Healthcare team members.
- Excellent oral communication and customer service skills required. Responds promptly, professionally and courteously to all customers’ needs.
- Minimal clerical skills.
- Ability to follow all safety and health standards and comply with HIPAA regulations and Patient Bill of Rights.
- Ability to be flexible to meet department needs and objectives.
- Practices cost effective measures.
- Demonstrates characteristics that support the values, vision, mission, policies and procedures of McLaren Healthcare.
- Contributes to continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Organizes time and prioritizes effectively.
