Anesthesia Performance Technician Casual
- Performs set-up of perfusion equipment and supplies and assists the perfusionist during cardiovascular surgeries. Major responsibilities include the following:
- Cardiopulmonary Bypass and Support Procedures
- Autotransfusion
- Physiological Monitoring/Analysis
- Stat Laboratory
- Emergency Preparedness
- Performs set-up of anesthesia equipment and supplies and assists anesthesia and nursing staff.
- Completes records, procedure/charge sheets, stat lab results and other documentation related to perfusion and anesthesia.
- Participates in the cleaning and maintenance of perfusion and anesthesia equipment.
- Maintains appropriate stocking levels of supplies and participates in the evaluation of new equipment and products.
- Seeks to improve quality of service by continuously developing individual and unit competencies within scope of practice.
- Performs other related responsibilities as necessary.
