Accountant II
Position Summary:
Assists Manager and Director in general accounting activities. Completes accounting functions requiring knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and a broad understanding of the overall corporation. Prepares internal/external analysis of data to assist senior management in their decision-making and/or problem resolution. Performs daily, monthly and yearly accounting activities, assuring quality accounting work, meeting or exceeding all deadlines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities As Assigned:
- Prepare monthly journal entries in an accurate and timely manner.
- Perform analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Assists with the preparation of audit schedules.
- Identifies problems relating to job processes and recommends solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- One year of experience in accounting/finance.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Preferred:
- Previous health care experience.
